About Beth

Beth is a HCPC-registered Music Therapist working with children, young people and adults across Gloucestershire and The Cotswolds.

Her approach is warm, person-centred and informed by psychotherapy and trauma-informed practice. Beth believes that feeling seen, heard and accepted is an important part of therapy, and creates a consistent space where people can be themselves, without pressure or judgement. She takes time to get to know each person and works at their pace, recognising that everyone is different and that no two sessions need to look the same.

Beth has experience across a range of settings, including mental health, dementia care, stroke rehabilitation, special educational needs and mainstream education. She has a particular interest in music therapy and mental health, especially with teenagers and young people.

Before becoming a Music Therapist, Beth worked as a Mental Health Recovery Worker in Gloucester, supporting adults with complex and enduring mental health needs. This experience shaped her interest in early intervention and strengthened her belief in the importance of having the right support, and a safe relationship, before difficulties become overwhelming.

Beth holds a degree in Music as well as a Master’s degree in Music Therapy with distinction. She is a pianist and also sings and plays guitar, with a love of music ranging from hip hop and drum and bass to pop and classical piano. She enjoys finding out what music means to each individual and bringing their own musical interests into the work.
